Giving My First Moments to God

(Intentional Prayer)
Pray the Scriptures: Lord, I give You this day to do within it and within me whatever You please. Anything that resides within my heart that hinders Your presence from seamlessly flowing through, I ask You to remove it, in Jesus name. Wash me, O Lord. Purify me from my sins, and I will be clean; wash me, and I will be whiter than snow. Oh, give me back my joy again; you have broken me—now let me rejoice. From that which Satan has meant for evil; God, You are bringing good. Lord, let me be found rejoicing in Your goodness; for You are doing great things! Teach me Your ways, O Lord, that I may live according to Your truth! Grant me purity of heart, so that I may honor You […]

Mid-Trial Review

As we go along this walk with the Lord, we are given various assignments. This can range from being ministers of the Gospel within our homes, on our jobs, or various places of Worship. It can mean going out into the world as actual missionaries in places where God’s Word needs to be taught and heard. God places us where He has provided us gifts and talents to be used for His glory. God will never entrust us with something that He knows we will fail at. So, we are definitely initially set up for success. But there are some things that we must do in order to make sure that we are aligning ourselves with the task at hand, so that in the end He can say, “Job well done. I am pleased.” This evaluation occurs because He loves us and wants us to be like Him, in His image […]

Living Above Our Circumstances

“God, I need Your help. Settle my thoughts and help me to learn to live above my circumstances.” If it’s not one thing, it’s another. I believe that God wants to use me through prayer and encouragement through my hard times to encourage others. Yes, God’s Word is enough all by itself, but we must also know how to practically make it through this journey; applying that Word to our individual circumstances. It (life, that is) is really hard sometimes and I believe that we need to honestly express that so that others will know that, “Hey, I’m not alone. She’s a follower of Christ or he’s a follower of Christ, but yet they have struggles, too. So, how do they make it through? What’s different about them? What do they hold on to in times of distress?” […]

You Can Make It Through

I am here to encourage you and to let you know that YOU CAN MAKE IT! Flip the switch and allow the light of the world to brighten your day. Hello and Welcome to My Faith Expressions. I pray that your upcoming week is blessed and that you are anticipating great things from God. Word of Hope for Today: You can make it through! In spite of any obstacles you faced this past week, you made it to today. I made it to today. Why? Because God, in His sovereignty, made it possible. He created you and I in His image and likeness and believes that we are very good. As we continue forward in this journey called life, know that with God on our side, we can make it through everything that Satan tries to use to steal, kill, and destroy. Please know that we already have the Victory through Jesus Christ. These temporary set backs are only making our comeback that much grander. This is what we are to cling to […]

New Book Announcement: “You Are More Than Enough – Don’t Look Back Finish the Process”

But God! He was there all the time. You see, “IT” happened. I found myself smack dab in the middle of a wilderness experience. At times, I would even call it a “NIGHTMARE”! The specifics really do not matter in and of themselves, but within any wilderness experience, at some point, we can find ourselves telling God, “I WANT OUT.” We can find ourselves dealing with circumstances, some of which have been out of our control, which have kept us in this dark place for far too long. How do we get out? We keep growing in God. We keep seeking after Him. We continue to grow in our faith and boldness for God. You Are More Than Enough. Don’t Look Back. Finish the Process. […]

Unchangeable, God That Is Who You Are

(Intentional Prayer)
Pray the Scriptures: To the King of kings and the Lord of lords, You are forever the same. For You are the Lord, and You do not change. No one is holy like You Lord! There is no one besides You; there is no Rock like my God. With my eyes FIXED on You, I have no reason to fear. Make me holy for You are holy. Sanctify me. Help me to shake free the parts of me that always seem to head in the opposite direction of Your glory, so that I may be unrestricted in my walk with You. My faithful God, You Lord are good and You do what is right; You show the proper path to those who go astray. You are upright in all that You so graciously do. O Lord, You are so good, so ready to forgive, so full of unfailing love for all who ask for Your help […]

In Laughter I Find You

(Intentional Prayer)
Pray the Scriptures: Lord, Your Word tells me that for everything there is a season, a time for every activity under heaven. A time to cry and a time to laugh. A time to grieve and a time to dance. Lord, as I come to You today with a heart to reach out to others, provide me with memorable opportunities to encourage another and to build them up. Allow me a time of separation from the cares of this life, in order to enjoy a flash of laughter that provides healing and strength for my soul. God, Your Word says that a cheerful heart is good medicine, but a broken spirit saps a person’s strength. Lord, I ask You to bring forth laughter, even in the midst of a rampant sea, so that my strength may remain on full […]

Enough is Enough

How do you handle things when you no longer want to complete the assignment? You may be saying, “This wasn’t my plan. I never knew that this would be my life. I didn’t sign up for this. It is just all too much!” What if these were the words coming from your lips or circulating within your heart? Yet, you knew deep down within your soul that stopping would go against the plans that God has for you. What do we do when enough is enough? How do we handle things when we no longer want to complete the assignment that God has placed before us? Sometimes it’s as simple as just making a decision and persevering. We have to refocus and trust in the God who is controlling the process […]

Check 1, Check 2, Check 3…Testing

(Intentional Prayer)
Pray the Scriptures: Lord, when walls that have surrounded my heart crumble and fall just at the mention of Your name, every beat of my heart is equalized and it rejoices over all that I’ve found in You. El Shaddai, God Almighty, through Your promised Word, I have come into the knowledge that when my faith is tested, my endurance has a chance to grow. In Your ultimate wisdom, You have allowed the shaking in my life to bring forth the testing of my faith to draw me closer into Your presence. In all things I give thanks, so thank You for testing me […]

Steps to Life

(Intentional Prayer) – Intermittent Audio Prayer Break
Pray the Scriptures: Lord, I come to You this day, not for my own needs, but for those of others who do not understand the necessity to know You. I intercede on behalf of those who have yet to find the path that leads to freedom through Christ Jesus. For individuals who have uttered the words, “I won’t do it!” or “I can’t do it!” I humbly request that You would break down their stubborn will and open their heart to a better way. Heavenly Father, I pray for their willingness and ability to see the darkness that surrounds them and for an understanding to emerge within their souls to where they want to follow You […]

Find the Purpose

You will never be the same. A change has come. Because of the great sacrifice that Jesus made for you and I, we have been given this amazing opportunity to simply believe and choose to follow Christ and be a part of God’s very own. Those who believe and have accepted Jesus as their personal Savior have experienced a personal encounter with Christ. Our eyes have been opened, our hearts have been pierced, and we have come into the knowledge of who Jesus is and His purpose for coming to this earth. Our lives are never the same. We have hope and are promised peace, joy, and strength. This change is available to all who choose to believe […]

Need Change? Prayer Changes Things

(Intentional Prayer)
Pray the Scriptures: To You, O Lord, I give thanks with all my heart; I will sing Your praises. I bow before Your holy Temple as I worship. I praise Your name for Your unfailing love and faithfulness; for Your promises are backed by all the honor of Your name. As soon as I pray, You answer me; You encourage me by giving me strength. Your love is so encompassing. Your presence is felt all over me. Yahweh Yireh, The Lord Will Provide, I know it to be a fact that prayer changes things. It not only changes things, but it changes me. When I felt stuck in my patterns of behavior that lead me away from You, You allowed me to open my heart and my mouth to the God who did, can, and will deliver me. Your provision is offered to all who will believe […]

It Has No Place Here

(Intentional Prayer)
Pray the Scriptures: Lord, I humbly come before Your presence fully aware that anything within me that is not of You must be abandoned. As I seek Your face, create in me a pure heart, O God. Renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me from your presence or take Your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation, and grant me a willing spirit to sustain me. My walk shall be a walk of obedience to You. Lord, as I wrestle through feelings of fear that comes to distract me from my purpose and destiny, I humble myself under Your mighty power, and at the right time You, O Lord, will lift me up in honor. Place within me, my righteous king, a willingness and determination to give all my worries and cares to You, for You, my God cares about me […]

You Can Comfortably Rest in Him

(Intentional Prayer) – Intermittent Audio Prayer Break
Pray the Scriptures: Lord, when I come to You, tired in my body, exhausted in my thought processing, frazzled in my soul, I know that I come to the God of my salvation who offers complete rest for me. El Shaddai, God Almighty, I know that I am able to transfer all that I carry upon Your shoulders, releasing the heaviness that this life attempts to outfit me in each day. From Your well filled with unconditional love and grace and mercy, I am able to draw all the resources that I need. As one of the many benefits offered to me, You so graciously maintain an open door policy, through Jesus Christ, which always and without reservation needed, allows me to lay my weight upon Your throne […]

Are You Listening or “INDEPENDENTLY” Gliding through Life?

Spending quiet time with God is a way of finding out what He is speaking into our life. Every word received from heaven is not meant for someone else. Some are direct revelations, so that we personally will know where to go, what to do, how to think and what to say. Through avenues, such as blog’s, podcasts, video’s, for example, we have been given a platform by which we are able to share; but, let’s also find ourselves, better yet, let me find myself hearing what God specifically has for me and not independently gliding through life. Lord, speak to me. I have an ear to hear and a heart to receive. Show me what You want me to learn through this journey. Change me first, O God, so that I may show others the way […]

Separated for a Purpose

As I was searching the scriptures, my eyes were opened to a different view. Stick with me for a second. In my reading, I came across this passage of scripture in the book of Psalms. Psalms 55:6-7 (NLT) says, “Oh, that I had wings like a dove; then I would fly away and rest! I would fly far away to the quiet of the wilderness.” To the quiet of the wilderness. Wow! I really haven’t sat down to think about the quiet of my wilderness. Who knew that the wilderness could be experienced as a way of escape from the problems and pressures of life. For so long, I have believed my wilderness experience to be solely dreadful; no real happiness or fulfillment until I am able to get all the way through. Let’s take a look at this for a moment […]
