The thought, “Don’t Give Up, Believe” has really been in my spirit for the last several days. It seems, at times, that we are flooded with the cares of this life and so much is coming at us at one time. We can start to drag and the thought of giving up may enter our hearts and minds.

At my desk at work, I have several flip calendars with Scriptures and words of inspiration on them. Today’s word from the “God’s Got It” Tony Evans Inspirational Dayspring Daybrightener says, “When Satan attempts to overwhelm you, remind him that you overwhelmingly conquer through Jesus Christ.” That really lifted me up today and solidified that giving up is never an option. Though this thought may cross our minds from time-to-time, we must push forward and persevere to receive the promises of God.

Hebrews 10:36 New Living Translation (NLT) says,
Patient endurance is what you need now, so that you will continue to do God’s will. Then you will receive all that he has promised.

After all that you have endured on this journey, don’t you want to follow through with patient endurance, doing the will of God, so that you will receive ALL that he has promised?

I know that I do. Too much time has passed, too many resources have been invested, too many steps forward have been taken to turn back now. I will not give Satan that satisfaction. I am more than a conqueror and I will have OVERWHELMING VICTORY!

John 10:10 King James Version (KJV) says,
The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

That’s what the enemy does. He is sneaky. His goal is to steal, kill and destroy our lives in Jesus Christ. This is a spiritual death that He is attempting to accomplish. But we have all that we need in Christ to defeat Him. He is already defeated. We must simply walk in this knowledge and have the faith to believe that with God, we can make it through life’s ups and downs.

Romans 8:37 New Living Translation (NLT) says,
No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us.

It’s already ours. Never forget this. Reflect and remember what God has already caused to transpire in your life. Just think back hours ago when He woke you up and gave you new mercies for today. It’s already done!

Don’t Give Up! Believe!

So, I had to come back to this post and update it. As I was doing a Bible Study lesson for the day, I was asked to look up the following Scriptures. Wow! God is really saying, Don’t Give Up! Believe!

2 Corinthians 4:16-18 (NLT)
16 That is why we never give up. Though our bodies are dying, our spirits are being renewed every day. 17 For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever! 18 So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever.

God’s Word is truth and God is Awesome!
