(Intentional Prayer)

Pray the Scriptures – My Prayer:

God Your Word says in 1 Thessalonians 5:17 that I should never stop praying. So, I come to You this day with my heart opened to receive. You are always faithful and Your mighty hand is here to rescue me from my distress.

According to Your Word in Romans 12:2, You tell me that I am not to copy the behavior and customs of this world. Instead, I am to let You transform me into a new person by changing the way that I think. God, I ask You to get into all of my thoughts. When doubt comes, when discouragement lingers, God, I ask You to replace that with memories of Your steadfast love and Your grace and mercy that You display in my life on a daily basis. Unlike those who have not chosen you, I have something to hold on to. I already have the Victory through Jesus Christ. There is none like You. You sustain me in my storms and You cover me with Your arms of protection.

God Your Word says in Matthew 6:34, that I am not to worry about tomorrow. God, You have tomorrow all figured out for me. I have no need to wrestle or worry or fear. You are a God that can be trusted and I trust You to show me Your will for me, which I know is good and pleasing and perfect.

God Your Word says in Psalm 42:8 that each day, You, Lord pour out your unfailing love upon me and through each night I sing your songs, praying to God who gives me life. I am applying that Word to my day and to this night.

As I pray to You, God, who gives me life, wrap your loving arms of protection around me as I continue to follow you.

For you said in 2 Chronicles 20:15b that I don’t have to be afraid or discouraged because this battle is not mine but yours. Thank You Lord for fighting my battles.

Overwhelming Victory is mine!

This I pray in Jesus’ Name. Not my will but Your will be done. For Your Glory! Amen.
