Elohim: God, Mighty Creator

As we continue to deepen our relationship with God, it is imperative that we truly know who He is. We know that He is our everything, Yes, but I would like to invite you to go on a little journey with me. The goal is to end this exploration with a better understanding and knowledge of who God is, through the study of some of the names of God.

It is my continued endeavor to grow in my faith in God and who He is, day by day. It is in the simple knowledge of who God is that my trust in Him will increase.

Today I would like us to journey alongside with Elohim, God, our Mighty Creator.

Our God, the one and true living God, is Elohim, God, Mighty Creator. God said it, and everything He spoke came into existence. This shows His ultimate power over the earth and all that is within it. The most amazing part for me is how He chose to make us in His own image, to be like Him. He blessed all that He made and commanded us to be fruitful and multiply. We were given full reign over all that God created. Oh how He loves us, with an abundant, unfailing love.

God designed all that we see, as His gift to us.

In the Word of God, we find a passage where Jacob had a dream. And in this dream, God spoke to him.

“…I am the Lord, the God of your grandfather Abraham, and the God of your father, Isaac. The ground you are lying on belongs to you. I am giving it to you and your descendants. Your descendants will be as numerous as the dust of the earth! They will spread out in all directions – to the west and the east, to the north and the south. And all the families of the earth will be blessed through you and your descendants. What’s more, I am with you, and I will protect you wherever you go. One day I will bring you back to this land. I will not leave you until I have finished giving you everything I have promised you.”

Genesis 28:13-15 NLT

Just as was emphasized in the dream of Jacob, God has promised to be with us and protect us wherever we go. He will not forsake us. He will not leave us, but will finish giving us everything He has promised. As Elohim, God, Mighty Creator, He has brought into reality everything that we need for every situation in our lives.

As Elohim, with one Word, He can bring forth life in any and all situations that we may face.

Behold the Beauty Spoken into Existence by Elohim

Elohim, God, Mighty Creator, I give thanks to you for bringing me into this world. God, you created me in Your image. Therefore, I need not be ashamed of anything that I do not consider to be perfect in my own eyes. In your eyes, when You look at me, You see the perfect image of who You are. Although sin has entered the world and has tried to strip me of who You created me to be, in your unfailing love, You provided a way for me to come back to You. Thank You for sending Your Son to die on the cross and rise again for the sins of this world, so that I could follow Him back to You. Thank You, God, that I have been made righteous through Jesus Christ, and when He comes back for me, I will not only be with Christ, but I will be like Him. In your magnificient power, You have made all things good.

Lord, hear my prayer!
Listen to my plea!
Don’t turn away from me
in my time of distress.
Bend down to listen,
and answer me quickly when I call to you.
Psalm 102:1-2 NLT

In Jesus’ name! Amen!
