(Intentional Prayer)

Pray the Scriptures – My Prayer:

Lord, I love You. I love you even though I have never seen you. Though I do not see you now, Lord, I trust You. I rejoice with glorious, inexpressible joy. I am excited about this, God, because Your Word tells me that the reward for trusting You will be the salvation of my soul.

OH, WHAT GREAT REWARD!

Even during the times when I may not feel joy in the incidents of my day, I can yet be joyful in having a personal relationship with the keeper of my soul. God, Your Word says that You, The Lord himself watches over me! You, Lord stand beside me as my protective shade. I sincerely want to thank You Lord because without Your watchful hand of protection, I would surely drown.

Thank You for teaching me how to keep my focus on You! I will not be overcome by the tests and trials of this life, because You have it all under control. For You are the Lord, the God of all the peoples of the world. Is anything too hard for You? No, of course not! In Your great power, all things are possible.

I BELIEVE!

Lord, I feel Your presence in my life. I recognize Your hand of mercy, even when it appears that all is lost. All I have to do, Lord, is think of all the hostility You endured from sinful people; then I won’t become weary and give up.

I WON’T GIVE UP!

For you are great and perform wonderful deeds. You alone are God. There is none like You, none before You, and none after You, who is or will be as great and mighty as thee. When the path before me is, at intervals, unsettling, in view of the fact that I have You to guide me, I know that all is well.

It is well with my soul!

This I pray in Jesus’ Name. Not my will but Your will be done. For Your Glory! Amen.

(Intentional Prayer) Pray the Scriptures: Lord, when I am left with lingering emotions of irritation and disappointment because of how another person chose to interact with me, help me to aim high, looking to Jesus as my example when someone has offended me. Help me to recognize when the intent is not to cause these feelings to emerge within, but that a greater purpose and good is the end result.
