(Intentional Prayer)

Pray the Scriptures – My Prayer:

Lord, I will let all that I am praise You. O Lord my God, how great you are! You are robed with honor and majesty. Because of Your goodness towards me, You have provided the blueprint for building my relationship with You, through Your Word. You have made provision for every satanic threat that comes against me and a course of action for fighting the tricks of the enemy.

God, Your Word says, that no matter what Satan tries to throw against me, I am to stand my ground putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of Your righteousness. For shoes, I am to put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that I will be fully prepared. I am to hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil. I am to put on salvation as my helmet and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. I am to pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. I am to stay alert and be persistent in my prayers for all believers everywhere.

Lord, I have been given these instructions to put on all of God’s armor so that I will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. For I am not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.

Lord, this fight is not an easy one, but I will remember the tools that You have provided for me. This battle is not mine, God, it is Yours. You are my way out and my pathway through.

Every day, God, that is becoming more and more evident in the things that I have to face. Lord, I thank You for the mechanism You have given me to fight against the devil, for without it, I would be swept away by my fears and consumed in my sorrows.

Lord, even when the battle seems uphill, the word of the Lord holds true, and I can trust everything that You do. Lord, the outcome is in Your hands. Help me to release anything that is not like You. Although, at this moment, things may not be the way that I would like, Lord, Your will be done.

Thank You Lord for Your steadfast plan of action!

This I pray in Jesus’ Name. Not my will but Your will be done. For Your Glory! Amen.

Scriptures:

Psalm 104:1 (NLT)
Let all that I am praise the Lord.
O Lord my God, how great you are!
You are robed with honor and majesty.

Ephesians 6:11-18 (NLT)
11 Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. 12 For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm. 14 Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness. 15 For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared. 16 In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil. 17 Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. 18 Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.

Psalm 33:4 (NLT)
For the word of the Lord holds true,
and we can trust everything he does.

I capture my rebellious thoughts and teach them to obey Christ. Any negative thoughts or thoughts that are not pleasing to You, O Lord, I cast them out in Jesus’ name. Help me to recognize when the intent is not to cause these feelings to emerge within, but that a greater purpose and good is the end result.
