Being in partnership with Jesus Christ fits all of the pieces of our lives together like that of a puzzle. It does not matter how many scattered parts of your life there are, God has a place for each piece. He connects them together to form a beautiful picture of your life in Christ Jesus. Once we are in agreement with Him, our lives flow more smoothly and in the right direction. We are no longer going against the current. All of our steps proceed according to God’s will and plan for our lives.
What an amazing partnership this is!
1 Corinthians 1:9 (NLT) says,
God will do this, for he is faithful to do what he says, and he has invited you into partnership with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.
Naming of the Partnership
In an earthly partnership, one of the first things you must do is agree on a name for your partnership. Last names can be used, such as Smith & Wesson, or a fictitious name can be adopted. When we entered into our partnership with Jesus Christ our Lord, we took on His name, His identity; we became God’s child and now are in relationship or partnership with the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. All three are one.
I thought about some names that could possibly be used:
- Blessed to be a Blessing
- Jesus Christ Victory Central
- Deliverance HQ (Headquarters)
- No Longer Bound War Room
- Face to Face in the Place
- Heavenly Way the Only Way
These names are interchangeable and can be referred to at any time in reference to the partnership. When you say them, you know that the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are present in the board room with you.
Advantages of a partnership include but are not limited to
- Two heads (or more) are better than one
With Jesus on our side going to the Father on our behalf, and the Holy Spirit guiding us, we can make it through any situation that we face. No one can come against us because we are protected and all rights and privileges have been transferred to us. We have been made righteous through our partnership with Jesus Christ.
Romans 8:33-34 (NLT) says,
33 Who dares accuse us whom God has chosen for his own? No one—for God himself has given us right standing with himself. 34 Who then will condemn us? No one—for Christ Jesus died for us and was raised to life for us, and he is sitting in the place of honor at God’s right hand, pleading for us.
- Your “business” is easy to establish
Romans 10:9-10 (NLT) says,
9 If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved.
- More capital is available for the “business”
You are no longer relying on your own strength and resources to make it through this life.
We have something to sing about.
Psalms 28:7 (NLT) says,
The Lord is my strength and shield.
I trust him with all my heart.
He helps me, and my heart is filled with joy.
I burst out in songs of thanksgiving.
- Partners’ “business” affairs are private
You are able to take your burdens to the Lord and leave them there.
Psalms 55:22 (NLT) says,
Give your burdens to the Lord,
and he will take care of you.
He will not permit the godly to slip and fall.
Those in partnership with you, will keep your feet on the right path.
I always seem to go back to Isaiah 41:10.
Isaiah 41:10 (NLT) says,
Don’t be afraid, for I am with you.
Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you.
I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.
This is what a real partner does. They stick with you through the ups and downs, so you have no reason to fear being alone. When discouragement comes, you have someone close by that you can turn to and talk to and release the weights that you carry. The load is no longer just your own. You find strength and help and are held up, victoriously.
When the partnership was established, the automatic benefit of VICTORY became yours. The battle may cause you some distress, at times; but, it has already been won through your partnership agreement.
The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit work together, as our partners, to do this and more.
Partnership Minimum Requirements
James 4:7 (NLT) says,
So humble yourselves before God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
We are to humble ourselves before God. When Satan comes to distract us or tempt us or when he attempts to try to get us off our partnership track, we must immediately resist him. He is guaranteed to flee. We must remove all pride, and no longer try to be in control.
God is in control, and although this is a partnership, He walks in the position of the Senior Partner.
Senior Partner Duties
In any partnership, there is generally one person who has more authority and takes on the position of a Senior Partner.
Deuteronomy 31:8 (NLT) says,
Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord will personally go ahead of you. He will be with you; he will neither fail you nor abandon you.”
So, you see, we are covered when we enter into this partnership agreement. The Lord will personally go ahead of us. He is our refuge and our shield.
We also don’t have to worry about any partnership disputes. We do have free will and God will not go against that. But things will run smoother if we simply learn of Him and follow the guidelines (commands) presented to us in God’s Word.
Matthew 11:28-30 (NLT) says,
28 Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.”
There is always rest available to us and room for growth with this partnership. You don’t ever have to feel like you aren’t advancing in the kingdom of God. Just go to Him and allow Christ to teach you the way; His way, truth and life.
So, come on and join “Heavenly Way the Only Way”, or if you are already in partnership, continue to review the policies and procedures, God’s Word, for continued direction for your life.
You will have no regrets. Agree with what God says and the partnership will grow.
