When we are called by God to “Go” or “Come”, we must be obedient to the voice of the Lord.

MY FAITH EXPRESSIONS

Hello and Welcome to My Faith Expressions.

Here we are again, another day, another opportunity to allow the joy of the Lord to be our strength.

Word of Hope for Today:

If He Did It Before, God Can Do It Again!

Luke 8:22-24 (NLT) says,
22 One day Jesus said to his disciples, “Let’s cross to the other side of the lake.” So they got into a boat and started out. 23 As they sailed across, Jesus settled down for a nap. But soon a fierce storm came down on the lake. The boat was filling with water, and they were in real danger.
24 The disciples went and woke him up, shouting, “Master, Master, we’re going to drown!”
When Jesus woke up, he rebuked the wind and the raging waves. Suddenly the storm stopped and all was calm.

Let’s take a moment and talk about this.

When we are called by God to “Go” or “Come”, we must be obedient to the voice of the Lord. When Jesus said to the disciples “Let’s cross to the other side of the lake”, the disciples heard His voice, and according to the Scripture, without question, got into the boat and they started towards the intended destination.

We, too, as did the disciples, even while Jesus is constantly with us, may encounter some fierce storms. What we believe to be steps of faith after hearing the voice of God, can erupt into a shaking of our lives, leaving us in unsettled waters. Waves of disruption can seem to appear out of nowhere.

What the disciples did after visibly seeing the storm with their natural eyes should not be our first response. They began to panic, but one good thing is, they knew who to call upon. “Master, Master, we’re going to drown!”

When Jesus heard their cry of distress, He rebuked the wind and the raging waves. SUDDENLY the storm stopped and all was calm.

“Lord, I am in desperate need of a few SUDDENLY’S in my life. God, if You did it then, and all of Your Word is Truth, then I know, God, You can do it, again.”

Jesus has the power to still the winds and waves. He is always in our boat helping us to face life’s obstacles and downright dreadful tests and trials. His mighty power is available to cease the winds and the waves of our lives.

Never forget to reflect daily on who our Savior really is. If He did it once, He can do it again. He’s faithful, so stop panicking. WRITER OF THIS BLOG, HE’S FAITHFUL. STOP PANICKING! GOD’S GOT THIS. HE CAN DO IT, AGAIN!

I pray that you find comfort and strength by sticking around a bit and taking a look at any posts that you may have missed this past week. If time allows, please feel free to catch up.

Be Blessed!
