Pray the Scriptures – My Prayer:
Lord, I come to You today just as I am, knowing that I am never alone. When some days become a bit more challenging then others, in the good and the bad, no matter which way the wind may blow, my response will always be to turn to You.
I can rest in knowing that I belong to You. I have already won a victory over everyone and everything that comes against me, because the Spirit who lives in me is greater than the spirit who lives in the world. Thank God! You give me victory over sin and death through my Lord Jesus Christ. I can be strong and immovable. I will always work enthusiastically for You, my Lord, for I know that nothing I do for You Lord is ever useless.
When my day does not go as planned or is interrupted with numerous disruptions that come to distract me from the joy that You bring, I will turn towards You for comfort and for strength. God, Your Word says that it is good to give thanks to the Lord, to sing praises to the Most High. It is good to proclaim your unfailing love in the morning, your faithfulness in the evening, so that is what I will do.
No matter which way the wind may blow, I will always turn toward You!
You thrill me, Lord, with all You have done for me! I sing for joy because of what You have done. O Lord, what great works You do! And how deep are Your thoughts. Just as You saved and rescued so many from the hand of the enemy in the days of old, I can trust that You will do the same for me.
I put my complete trust in You!
You are not a man, so You do not lie. You are not human, so You do not change Your mind. Have You ever spoken and failed to act? No, not once! Have You ever promised and not carried it through? No, not once! Therefore, no matter which way the wind may blow, I’m keeping my eyes set on You.
As I speak Your Word and claim it and apply it to my own situations, I have great confidence that it is already so, in Jesus’ name. When I turn to You to resolve the issues of my life and to seal up the holes that Satan is determined to create within my “sail” as I journey towards You, he does not win because my determination out weighs his. I settle within my heart that no matter which way the wind may blow, I’m never taking my eyes off of the One who chose me.
Thank You Lord for being the captain of my ship! Lead the way and I will follow You.
This I pray in Jesus’ Name. Not my will but Your will be done. For Your Glory! Amen.
