(Intentional Prayer)

Pray the Scriptures – My Prayer:

I love You, Lord; You are my strength. You Lord are my rock, my fortress, and my savior; my God, You are my rock, in whom I find protection. You are my shield, the power that saves me, and my place of safety. I called on You, Lord, who is worthy of praise, and You saved me from my enemies.

Lord, everything that is, is because of You. Nothing that I have done has gotten me to this point in life. Because I have trusted in You, in your merciful and loving way, You have seen fit to rescue me. Therefore, as the Scriptures say, “If you want to boast, boast only about the Lord.” Lord, I boast in Your goodness. I boast in Your faithfulness. I boast in Your righteousness and Your great umbrella of protection that shelters me from life’s storms and causes me to rise high above my circumstances. Even when the droplets of devastation pour all around me, You shield me from being drenched to the point of no return. You provide a guiding light out of the darkness.

You are the ONLY ONE who rescues me.

Lord, I acknowledge that I still have more to learn. I still have steps to make towards You. I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling me.

I hear Your voice. I turn to You; to the God of my strength. You are my protection and my shield, the very ONE who covers me.

How great is the goodness You have stored up for me, one who fears You. You lavish it on me when I come to You for protection, blessing me before the watching world. You hide me in the shelter of Your presence, safe from those who conspire against me. You shelter me in Your presence, far from accusing tongues.

Your shelter is all I need! Thank You for securing my way to You, through Jesus Christ, my Redeemer, my great hope. All that I will ever need can be found standing under Your protective shield. Thank You Lord for saving me.

This I pray in Jesus’ Name. Not my will but Your will be done. For Your Glory! Amen.

  • I Have Authority
(Intentional Prayer) Pray the Scriptures: Lord, I come to you today as a reminder to myself that I have authority through Jesus Christ. I use Your mighty weapons, not worldly weapons, to knock down the strongholds of human reasoning and to destroy false arguments. I destroy every proud obstacle that keeps me from knowing You. I capture my rebellious thoughts and teach them to obey Christ. Any negative thoughts or thoughts that are not pleasing to You, O Lord, I cast them out in Jesus’ name. They have no authority over me, but I have authority through Jesus Christ. I am free. I am delivered. I am made whole. (Intentional Prayer) Pray the Scriptures: Lord, when I am left with lingering emotions of irritation and disappointment because of how another person chose to interact with me, help me to aim high, looking to Jesus as my example when someone has offended me. Lord, I want to do all that I can to live in peace with everyone. Help me to recognize when the intent is not to cause these feelings to emerge within, but that a greater purpose and good is the end result.
