No matter how turbulent the winds and the waves of your life may get, stick with it. The closer you get to God and the longer you pursue His will, the easier it becomes to stand firm and stand tall when opposition enters your life.

MY FAITH EXPRESSIONS

Philippians 4:9 (NLT) says,
9 Keep putting into practice all you learned and received from me—everything you heard from me and saw me doing. Then the God of peace will be with you.

The contents of this scripture were words of encouragement from Paul to the Philippians. Paul wanted to encourage them not to walk away from their teaching. They were to keep putting in practice what they had learned and the result would be that the God of peace would always be with them. They would become stronger and be able to withstand the various attacks brought upon them due to their continued faith in God.

As we determine within our hearts to stick with it and to not allow the cares of this life to disrupt our connection with the Lord, we will become better equipped to maintain a consistent life of praise and worship and honor to our Savior. We will know where to turn when turmoil disrupts our lives and we will learn to seek him quicker. He will become our first point of contact at the onset of our dilemma. We will begin to release control and allow God to order our steps. The things that used to come, like clockwork, to alter the course of our lives, they will begin to no longer affect us the same. We will notice that we are having less pity parties. We won’t be complaining as much. Although stress may come upon us, it won’t stay.

This is all because we are putting our trust in the Lord. We are releasing our will and replacing it with His.

While you are in the thick of things, you do not always see these changes that are happening in your life, this amazing transformation that is taking place. But one day, trust and believe, you will reflect back and will instantly notice that, “Hey! That was a doozy of a storm that I just came through and I barely flinched this time. I trusted that God had my back and that He would resolve whatever issues arose. I believed that it was all part of my OVERWHELMING VICTORY package bundle and so, with anticipation, I rode the waves until the sea settled.” Isn’t that an awesome feeling! If you have yet to experience this, please stick with it because I want you to feel the joy of His presence and the peace in knowing that you can rest in Him.

In Philippians 1:9-10 (NLT), Paul goes on to say,
9 I pray that your love will overflow more and more, and that you will keep on growing in knowledge and understanding. 10 For I want you to understand what really matters, so that you may live pure and blameless lives until the day of Christ’s return.

As you continue to grow in knowledge and understanding, you will comprehend what really matters. You will discern that, “Hey! It’s really not about me. It’s about the glory of God being present in and reflecting out of my life.” This means that when others look in your direction, they see something different, something that attracts them to the light of the Lord. They see your struggles, but they also see you standing firm and holding on to your faith. To some it may appear to be crazy. “Why are they trusting in someone they cannot see?”

My thought is “Why aren’t you? Nothing else seems to be going well for you, so why not give God a chance to prove himself in your life? What do you have to lose?” ANSWER: Absolutely nothing, but all to gain.

We must strive to live pure and blameless lives until the day of Christ’s return to draw others. This way may not always be easy, but it is worth it all in knowing that we will one day be with Christ. Choose to stick with it and not miss out on what God has in store for your life, here on earth, and ultimately the amazing eternal life that we will enjoy with Him.

1 Thessalonians 5:21-22 (NLT) says,
21 but test everything that is said. Hold on to what is good. 22 Stay away from every kind of evil.

Let this be your guide. Make sure that the direction that you are heading in is what God wants for you. If you are not sure, pray and ask for direction. Test everything that is said. Hold on to only what is good. Stay away from every kind of evil.

If you will stick with it, God will stick with you! He is always there to lead you in the path of righteousness for His name sake. Yea thou you walk THROUGH the valley of the shadow of death, fear no evil for God is with you; so, STICK WITH IT.

  1. One of my favorite words is “persevere”!

One of my favorite passages, “And not only this, but we also exult in our tribulations, knowing that tribulation brings about PERSEVERANCE and PERSEVERANCE, proven character and proven character, hope; and hope does not disappoint because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.” Romans 5:3-5.

Why would anyone not “Stick With It,” knowing what’s at the finish line? Thanks for sharing the Truth and God bless you!
