(Intentional Prayer)

Pray the Scriptures – My Prayer:

GreatNameHonor the Lord, you heavenly beings; honor the Lord for his glory and strength. Honor the Lord for the glory of his name. Worship the Lord in the splendor of his holiness.

O Lord, my Lord, Your majestic name fills the earth! Your glory is higher than the heavens. When I look at the night sky and see the work of your fingers—the moon and the stars you set in place—what are mere mortals that You should think about them, human beings that You should care for them?

Yet, You care so much for me.

You made me only a little lower than Yourself and crowned me with glory and honor. You gave me charge of everything You made, putting all things under my authority—

You did this all for me by Your Great Name.

You, O Lord will not abandon me, because that would dishonor Your great name. For it has pleased You, Lord to make me Your very own.

Your name saves and protects me!

Teach me the right way Lord. For Your Word tells me, “You must not misuse the name of the Lord your God. The Lord will not let you go unpunished if you misuse his name.” Bridle my tongue, dear Lord. Never allow me to speak words against Your great name. Help me to never use Your name in vain. Forgive me, O God, for any time that this has occurred and I was not aware or was not strong enough to resist the trick of the enemy to speak ill will towards the God of my salvation. For Your name is great and greatly to be praised.

Your name is to be honored this day and forever more.

The name of the Lord IS a strong fortress; the godly run to You and are safe.

There is POWER in Your great name.

For “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” What a name! All glory belongs to You, my Wonderful Counselor, Prince of Peace, Mighty King, Master, and Savior. Thank You for saving me.

This I pray in Jesus’ Name. Not my will but Your will be done. For Your Glory! Amen.
