Pray the Scriptures – My Prayer:
Lord, as my heart is sustained by You, let my heart be only for the things of God. Lord, I want all that I do to delight in You. Every thought, every action is not always Christ-like, so I pray that You reconcile my missteps and align them to Your desire for me.
Let the things that settle within my heart be pleasing to You.
Though my heart has been broken on many occasions, because of human error and frailty and others seemingly not knowing the best way to treat me, You work through Your healing virtue to mend the shattered pieces and keep my heart pumping, anticipating the goodness that You have prepared for me. When my expectations of others have fallen short, You have shielded my heart from exploding beyond recognition and have allowed the inflammation to settle back to normal so that I could and can continue to keep pressing so that I will make it through.
Lord, let my heart beat for You and not for anything or anyone that tries to come before You within the recesses of my heart. For I don’t always know what is best for me, but when I trust in my Savior to guide my way, the eyes of my heart are open to see truth and I am able to successfully proceed on my journey with You.
Lord, I am so thankful that You, Lord do not see things the way that I or others see them. People judge by the outward appearance, but You Lord look at the heart.
When I fail at this thing called life, you look deep within, examining my heart, and You see the true love that I have for You. You offer me chance upon chance to get things right and to call upon Your great name for reconciliation. You allow me to pick up the pieces and walk in righteousness through Jesus Christ. You know beforehand that I will need You to see beyond my faults, my God, and recognize that I have a heart for You.
At this very moment, Lord, I pray this prayer for others, that You will see their heart and recognize when Satan attempts to interrupt Your deliverance for them. Draw them back to You, O God, at this immediate hour. Right the wrong and place them back on the right path. Strengthen their heart and allow them to develop a heart for You.
Lord, allow us all to know You, God, intimately. We want to worship and serve You with our whole heart and a willing mind. For You Lord sees every heart and knows every plan and thought. If we seek You, we will find You. But if we forsake You, You will reject us forever. God, strengthen our will and help us to choose You with our whole heart so that we will not be forsaken or rejected forever. For it is our choice, and this day, God, I will continue to choose You. Let it be so for those who have heard Your voice and know the way.
Search us, O God, and know our heart; test us and know our anxious thoughts.
God this prayer is for all who need to draw closer to You. Do not allow us to slip into the fate of the enemy, but give us hearts that are parallel to Your purpose and let us walk according to Your plan. Lord, point out anything in us that offends You, and lead us along the path of everlasting life. My gracious father, God of mercy, I pray that our hearts will be flooded with light so that we can understand the confident hope You have given to those You have called—Your holy people who are Your rich and glorious inheritance.
Lord, we want a heart only for You! Even for those who are not quite sure, make it clear so that they, too, can have a heart to do Your will.
This I pray in Jesus’ Name. Not my will but Your will be done. For Your Glory! Amen.
