Enjoy the ride and when the doors open up, walk into your destiny. He is building you up and He strengthens you with each level higher that you go.

When I arrived at work on yesterday and walked into the building, I arrived to see an elevator, with its doors open, waiting for me. “Now that’s rare!” I thought. Well, rare for where I work, as this never happens. I realized that someone might have been looking out for the next person who would arrive, sending down from above what was needed to carry them up to the next level. This rarity of forethought is not always visible to us. It’s almost unrecognizable in the world that we live in; this me, myself, and I world. This small gesture shows great compassion for one’s fellowman (woman) and can be placed within the category of being a servant; looking out for others and thinking beyond one’s self. I instantly became excited about what God was showing me in the moment.

Ok! I know you are thinking, “IT WAS JUST AN ELEVATOR! Why is she rejoicing over that?” But you see, when we look at this through spiritual eyes, we all should be rejoicing over what Christ has done for us. When we open up the door of our heart and walk in to where Jesus lives, He is waiting with open arms to receive us. There is nothing that we have to do of ourselves except believe that it is safe in His arms, believe that we can trust Him to take us higher, beyond the point in life where we may find ourselves in that moment, and believe that He is there because of His great love for us. We make a decision to trust Him with our lives and to safely take us to the place that He has prepared for us.

Sure, we could turn away from that and be leery and skeptical of what’s waiting for us; but, it will only take us much longer to receive the benefits of trusting God right now. We can even move forward but choose another door, our own door, where the climb is a bit more exasperating. The other door may get us to where we want to go, but we could easily trip on our way up or even fall backwards, losing ground, having to start from a lower place to get back to where we could have already been. The things that we may be carrying could all come tumbling down because we are working from our own human strength to arrive at our destination. The other door definitely takes longer. Time is being wasted when we could have just stepped right in to what the Lord has prepared for us, sometimes without the wait, if we would simply accept things the way that He desires us to. Why stand at the elevator to our promised land asking a million questions within ourselves, when we can just keep walking forward into the fulfillment of His promises to us.

Lord, why is that door open? Is something lurking around the corner to get me? Is it just that easy to step right in? What if it gets stuck on the way up? What if others jump on along the way and slow down my process of making it to the top? Has this truly been tested? Can it handle the weight of all that I bring with me?

1 Peter 5:6-7 (NLT) says,
6 So humble yourselves under the mighty power of God, and at the right time he will lift you up in honor. 7 Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.

God is saying, “Yes! Yes I can handle it all and Yes, Yes you can trust me to handle it.”

Proverbs 3:5-6 (NLT) says,
5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart;
do not depend on your own understanding.
6 Seek his will in all you do,
and he will show you which path to take.

Won’t you walk in today and let God do the heavy lifting? Enter into the joy of the Lord, stand there as Heaven looks upon you and take in His glory. Feel His presence protecting you and keeping you safe. Listen to the sweet melodies that surround you and take a moment to dream big dreams. Take that time to tell God what you want and how you will obey Him and carry out the tasks that He will place into your hands to complete for His glory.

Enjoy the ride and when the doors open up, walk into your destiny. He is building you up and He strengthens you with each level higher that you go. Don’t take the long way, choose to step into your OVERWHELMING VICTORY, all that God has in store for you.

Revelation 3:8 (NLT) says it all:
8 “I know all the things you do, and I have opened a door for you that no one can close. You have little strength, yet you obeyed my word and did not deny me.

Obey His Word. Do not deny Him. Though you may have little strength, walk into the open door. He knows the way that you should go. Follow Him and His perfect timing. Trust God and let Him take you higher.
