(Intentional Prayer)

Pray the Scriptures – My Prayer:

footsteps_248345104_larger

Lord, I exalt You and glorify the precious name of Your dear Son, Jesus, the Christ, the Son of the Living Eternal God. For when I see Him, I also see You. When I glorify Him, I also glorify You. You are One with the Holy Spirit.

I will sing of Your unfailing love forever! Young and old will hear of Your faithfulness. Your unfailing love will last forever. Your faithfulness is as enduring as the heavens.

Lord, I have come to realize that only You can help me and truly rescue me from the depths of my sin. Without You and what Your Son exhibited in His death, burial and resurrection, I would be destroyed forever, left with nothing and no one to bring me out.

Lord, I cry out to You this day. Help me understand the meaning of Your commandments, and I will meditate on Your wonderful deeds. When I weep with sorrow; encourage me by Your Word. Keep me from lying to myself; give me the privilege of knowing Your instructions.

God, I want to follow in Your footsteps! Continue to lead the way!

I have chosen to be faithful; I have determined to live by Your regulations. I know that I am nowhere near perfect; but, Lord, don’t let me be put to shame! I will pursue Your commands, for You expand my understanding. Teach me Your decrees, O Lord; I will keep them to the end.

I am determined to walk close to You! There is no turning back, for if I do, my life will be lost.

When I turn and attempt to go astray, quickly guide me back to You with Your love, a love so perfect, so real, so true. Your arms of protection rescue me, not so that I can fall back into patterns of old, but so that I can do Your will. How sweet it is to be in Your presence, to have You guiding me. I want to stay with You where it is safe, where I can flourish in Your anointing and walk worthy of Your call over my life. Help me to be an example to others. Let them see the change in me. Not of my own doing, but because of Your great strength. Let Your glory be revealed in me.

How sweet Your words taste to me; they are sweeter than honey. Your commandments give me understanding; no wonder I hate every false way of life. Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path.

I know I must follow the path set before me or my life will be destroyed. I will not allow Satan to win. He has already been defeated, but my will, must choose Your will.

God, give me relief from the troubles of this world and help me to follow closely alongside You. Hide me in the shadow of Your mercy. I will not be lost or go astray when I follow in Your footsteps.

Oh what great victory! It’s already done, prepared for me, when I track with You, following your footsteps every day.

This I pray in Jesus’ Name. Not my will but Your will be done. For Your Glory! Amen.
