God wants to fit into every space within Your heart. Will you let Him in?MY FAITH EXPRESSIONS
Hello and Welcome to My Faith Expressions.
It’s another day! It’s another grand opportunity to make room for God. Is there anything that you need to release so God can fit right in?
Word of Hope for Today:
It’s Never Too Late for Your Dreams to Come True. God is Still Changing Lives for the Better. Finish the Process.
Have you ever tried to make something fit when it really didn’t? You are just becoming exhausted while you are pushing and trying to maneuver things into place according to your perspective of the layout for your life. I know I have done this and probably looked a tad bit crazy doing it. Hey, it probably happened again this week. 🙂 I knew it wouldn’t work; but, in the moment, I refused to give up on “my” dream of making it so.
Sometimes, we make decisions and we know they are the wrong ones. It’s so obvious to us and those around us that what is happening to us does not fit with God’s will. Nevertheless, because we don’t want to look as though we have failed or we don’t know what we are doing, we refuse to step away and take our hands off of it. We won’t let God remove it and give us better; what He knows will work and fit into our lives.
The above picture is a representation of how we should feel when we try to fit into the ways of this world without allowing God to move into our hearts and clean out all the cobwebs and frivolous unnecessary clutter that we have accumulated over the years. He may want to give us different than what we have so that it fits or He may want to enlarge our territory to make room for what’s already there, once He has determined that we are ready to make it work for His glory. We must let Him.
Yes! Easier said than done. Yes! Frustration is often present during the process. Yes! It often looks like nothing we want to happen will ever happen. Regardless, we must drop the “boxes” that are in our hands and let God look through them, toss what is never meant to continue as we move higher in Him, and He will repackage everything so that things fit neatly into place.
This could be a box full of regrets or a box of discouragement. Unhappy, negative thoughts could be taking up unnecessary space. Feelings of defeat might be sitting up on the shelf looking at us every time we try to walk past. Whatever it may be, God can and will replace it with better so that our dreams can be fulfilled.
The first thing that needs to happen is that we must verify that our dreams are His dreams for us. Then and only then can our ultimate dream of being like Christ come to pass. Without God, our dreams won’t really be fulfilled. We may get some of the things we want, but will we have the joy and peace that He desires us to have when He meets our needs and gives us the desires of our heart?
God, truly, not my will but Your will be done, for Your glory!
Saying that, believing it, walking in it, day-by-day, takes dedication and commitment. It takes seeking God and submitting to His sovereign will, allowing Him to intersect the various crossroads within our lives to construct within us a sure foundation built for greatness and open to receive what He desires to move into our lives.
1 Corinthians 2:9 (NLT) says,
9 That is what the Scriptures mean when they say, “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him.”
That’s not just for when we get to heaven, but for right now. Amen!
Letting God move in and redecorate our hearts takes sacrifice and the release of our will. We want a lot of things and although most of those probably aren’t bad for us, are they the best that God has to offer? God wants us to have His best, things that “FIT” in alignment with all that He has prepared for us.
I want His best for me. That takes patience, perseverance, longsuffering, and wanting to be in like mind with Christ. Sometimes it feels like things will never fit and fall into place, but I don’t have anything to lose by pressing forward, releasing my hold over my life, and giving it to God to rearrange. Only good will come from that. If anything, in the present moment, I will be able to release some stress and rest in Him. When it’s out of my hands then I no longer and you no longer have to carry the burden of figuring it all out.
Now that’s something to rejoice about! Amen!
Okay, so, like me, you might need to hear this again and again, but God never gives up on us, so let’s not give up on Him.
I pray that you find comfort and strength by sticking around a bit and taking a look at any posts that you may have missed this past week. If time allows, please feel free to catch up.
