When God speaks, everything closed that should not be can be opened in Jesus’ name.
MY FAITH EXPRESSIONS
Hello and Welcome to My Faith Expressions.
Even when the door has been shut for what seems like forever, God has great power to open up the way. Aren’t you excited about this? I am.
Word of Hope for Today:
What appears to be closed in our lives can be opened when we follow closely and are ready to receive our deliverance.
During His earthly ministry, Jesus performed many a miracle in the presence of others. They had no reason to doubt but every reason to believe; yet, many still did not see who He really was. They never experienced the full benefits of having a personal relationship that included acceptance of, trust in, and obedience to Christ.
Let’s take a quick look at the story of Jesus healing a deaf and dumb man, making him physically whole, and see how this can apply to our personal lives.
Christ does work to fix the whole of man, outwardly, but His ultimate goal is to restore us spiritually to where God intended for us to be before sin entered this world.
Mark 7:31-37 (NLT) says,
31 Jesus left Tyre and went up to Sidon before going back to the Sea of Galilee and the region of the Ten Towns. 32 A deaf man with a speech impediment was brought to him, and the people begged Jesus to lay his hands on the man to heal him.
33 Jesus led him away from the crowd so they could be alone. He put his fingers into the man’s ears. Then, spitting on his own fingers, he touched the man’s tongue. 34 Looking up to heaven, he sighed and said, “Ephphatha,” which means, “Be opened!” 35 Instantly the man could hear perfectly, and his tongue was freed so he could speak plainly!
36 Jesus told the crowd not to tell anyone, but the more he told them not to, the more they spread the news. 37 They were completely amazed and said again and again, “Everything he does is wonderful. He even makes the deaf to hear and gives speech to those who cannot speak.”
Waiting is definitely something that we all must endure. We must find peace in the waiting period and keep our eyes focused on the Savior. However, here we see an instant move of God. The word was spoken, “Ephphatha”, which means, “Be opened!” and instantly, God’s Word says, it was so.
Jesus wants to speak in our lives this same way. His presence in this manner was not unique to those present in Bible times. We have an opportunity to experience various “instants” right here, right now.
Will we be as close as we need to be in order to hear His voice so that we can recognize His instant deliverances for us?
We miss so much that He does for us because we aren’t alert, we aren’t looking for the change. Does this happen to you? I know this happens to me. It is happening every day, all around us. In order to see it and be aware of it when it happens, these instant moves that God makes, we must begin to open our gateways to hear and to see and truly feel His presence. We must be on high alert for the waves of blessings that He instantly performs right in our view. We must be open to how He chooses to bring it all to pass so that we don’t miss these “Ephphatha” waves of grace and mercy that God triggers for us.
In those areas of my life where things do not appear to be operating as they were meant to, I will cry out “Ephphatha! Be Opened in Jesus’ name!”.
Lord, open up the eyes of Your wayward children. Open up the hearts of those who may not completely trust in You. Open up the pathways in my life where Satan has manufactured road blocks. Open up the eyes of my understanding so that I may be enlightened.
God, there is much that I miss because Your way is not my way. Your thoughts are not my thoughts. Open my ears to hear You and not try to interpret improperly and fabricate what I desire to hear. I want to hold firm to what You speak to and about me. Open my eyes to see Your moving hand of mercy as it molds me and develops my life. Open my heart to be okay with Your plan and purpose in Your perfect timing. Remove my various levels of frustration and give me a clear understanding of the steps that I must take, so that everything in my life can be opened and I can receive Your total healing where healing is needed, indeed.
God, I will no longer interrupt the pruning process, but I will let you move in and redecorate the course of my life. When others look upon my life, it is my prayer that they will be completely amazed at Your work in me, for Your glory and it alone. Let them say about me, “Everything He does is wonderful.” For You are wonderful to me.
In Jesus’ great name, I pray.
Amen
Let this be your prayer as you listen attentively to the only wise God, our Savior. He has some “Ephphatha” blessings for you!

Amen. May we trust Him and Obey Him all the way.
Seeing through His eyes is key, just as Peter did when he obeyed and stepped out of the boat to meet with Jesus. But when he saw himself and the situation around him from his own lens and doubted, he began sinking. Thank God he refocused himself back to Jesus and called for help.
Thanks sis.
