(Intentional Prayer)

Pray the Scriptures – My Prayer:

hungry_122918058_larger

Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.

Lord, I pray that You and You alone will satisfy the hunger that I have for truth and righteousness. Increase my hunger for the things of God so that I may walk worthy of the calling which You have placed on my life. Feed my soul with good things from Your Word. Send others into my life that will aid in the nourishment of my soul for Christ’s sake. Remove all impurities from my life so that I may be strengthened as I feast on what You provide as my daily portion to sustain me.

Oh, how I love your instructions! I think about them all day long. Your commands make me wiser than my enemies, for they are my constant guide. It is my food when I’m hungry and water when I am thirsty, for I will drink from the fountain of life and flourish beyond my hopes and dreams into the person that You desire for me to become.

I pant with expectation, longing for Your commands. Come and show me Your mercy, as You do for all who love Your name. Guide my steps by Your word, so I will not be overcome by evil.

Like newborn babies, I want to crave pure spiritual milk so that I will grow into a full experience of salvation. I cry out for this nourishment, now that I have had a taste of the Lord’s kindness.

The true bread of God is the one who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world. Lord, give me that bread every day. Jesus is the bread of life. Whoever comes to Him will never be hungry again. Whoever believes in Him will never be thirsty.

I lift my hands to You in prayer. I thirst for You as parched land thirsts for rain. In You, I am made full, feasting on Your goodness and bountiful blessings that provide more than I could ever obtain on my own.

Lord, increase my hunger for You!

This I pray in Jesus’ Name. Not my will but Your will be done. For Your Glory! Amen.
